Handmade original objects by Alentes. Sculptural pedestal catchall bowls made of cement by Alentes. Styling and photography by Eleni Psyllaki for My Paradissi

One of the perks of being a blogger is that I get to know cool brands and try out their products so as to share with you my experience and honest opinion! I was, for that matter, really excited to be contacted by Alentes, a Greek brand that designs and manufactures high-quality handmade homeware with a focus on soft minimalism and sculptural forms.

With an online store and a gorgeous showroom in the heart of Athens (you should really pay a visit when in town!), Alentes is offering an impeccable collection of small furniture, lighting and decorative objects in natural colors, velvet textures and architectural forms with materials like cement, marble, ceramics and metals.

If I had to borrow a few words from their press kit that would be that they are "inspired from the graceful details of the everyday life, the gentle honesty of unadorned forms, the peaceful and the thrilling". Such a poetic description of their creations, right?

I had the chance to bring their catchall bowls (the ones you see in the photos) in my home and my newly redecorated living/dining room and I can't even begin to express how beautiful they are from up close! You might have seen them popping up in my instagram stories lately? I got so many DMs for them that I'm sure you are as much excited as I am!

These bowls are made of cement and despite their rough and considerably inexpensive material they look and feel incredibly high-end and luxurious. This certainly has to do with the great attention to the manufacturing details as well as the well-thought design. They are sleek, for example, but they still have visible marks from the casting. They have the most beautiful matte finish (I got the extra white ones but these vases also come in velvet grey and deep black). And I really really like their form. Their size is just perfect as an eye-catching centerpiece and I just can't get enough of seeing them on my dining table.
