Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed with thoughts, to-dos and ideas to the extent that your mind is practically blocked? I think I really need to slow down, stop multitasking and take one step at a time. Whenever I work on a design or a blog project I feel I am missing so many things from my family life and then whenever I spend time with my family I feel stressed that I am leaving all my work projects behind. My creative outlet is brimming to the top with unfulfilled dreams, so many things to do, so little time to do everything. Does this make sense to you? How do you cope with your everydays? How do you practice mindfulness? Thanks for listening, I really had to take this out of my system :)
dear Helen same thoughts........
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment ^_^ I'm sure we are not alone on this..
DeleteYou are definitely not alone ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you <3
DeleteI know exactly what you mean. I'm pretty much always working and regularly get to a point where I have to take a break or face a complete meltdown. It's so hard to find a good work / life balance when you are self employed and your home is also your office. My favorite way of giving my brain a break is walking on a beach, looking at the water and birds and dogs and trying to just live in that moment. Sometimes even without my camera! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is so difficult to find the right balance especially if you love your work so much! The water is always so relaxing indeed, I think I need to visit the seashore more often (yeah, even if the sea is like 5 min walk from my home, I'm that bad XD)
DeleteNot alone:) Probably because you are very creative and you love what you are doing + your family. It is soooo frustating...
ReplyDeleteThank you! I know that happens when your love your work so much, but I wouldn't change that for the world :D
DeleteSame thoughts Eleni... I'm still trying to find the right balance between family, relaxing and working time.
ReplyDelete<3 I hope we all find it soon ^_^
