I know, I know, I just got back from vacation and I'm supposed to start focusing on work and stuff but then the internet is so full of temptations I really could not skip this one. Carla, a dearest photographer and blogger, shared her summer vacation experiences on the island of Lesvos and got me weak on the knees. It might just be the amazing guesthouse, My Greek Island Home Guesthouse, owned and designed by Claire Lloyd (perhaps you know her from her book
) that she stayed in, the stunning, full of sensation photography of Carla and her charming description of her blissful days there, or simply that I want some more days off that I really can't take my eyes off of these photos ;)
Love the cozy, homey feeling of this guesthouse that is way far from touristic or stiff, it's bare stone walls mixed with all the white plaster and woods, the delicate bright light that washes the surfaces and all those greek touches that add character and a sense of belonging to the place. And, don't get me started on the turquoise details, oh.. Anyway, hop over to Carla's blog to read the whole post and see some more photos and check out the guesthouse site here. And, please comment, how many of you will be booking this place for their next summer getaway (or wish they do so ;) ?
P.s. This guesthouse reminded me of this cozy hotel in Lesvos and this home with the incredible turquoise details in Mani.
