Industrial loft in Portland, Oregon

Hello, My Paradissi readers! I'm Jessica over from Coco and Mingo, filling in for our dear Eleni while she's away on a much deserved vacation!! I'm excited to share with you a super cool, energy-efficient, industrial-modern, open loft space home (via Remodelista) that I know you'll fall in love with as much as I did!

Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of having an open loft style home, with high ceilings, wall to wall windows, painted white wood floors, and splashes of vintage industrial decor (I was interested in interior decor from a very early age!) - and this home pretty much fits the bill!

I love how the owners brought the "New York loft living style" to Portland, Oregon, where you'll find this home. They kept the feeling of the industrial style building by going with stainless steel, exposed vents, natural woods, white subway bathroom wall tiles, painted black ceilings, and vintage-industrial decor pieces such as the pendant lamps, black porcelain doorknobs, bathroom sink, and vintage-library inspired drawers and desk. At the same time, I absolutely love how they threw in some feminine elegance with the living room white wing back sofa and chairs, white marble kitchen island top, intricate bedroom mirror, and wrap-around terrace.

  1. Although my bedroom is spacious too, I don't have enough light. I would love to have big windows in mine too!

  2. I love vintage industrial decoration. Must be because of my love for Steampunk culture. :)
This big, open space and this huge window... All I need to live happily ever after!

  5. Oh-- I love this space! We lived in a loft in Chicago for awhile (in a converted factory) and I loved playing with different industrial elements. Right now the style isn't appropriate for our apt in Singapore, but I hope to incorporate it again in the future….

  6. An open space like this is so so perfect for natural light lovers (like me!) Really into the table with the rustic wood table top. :)

  7. This is gorgeous! Light, airy and just a touch rustic. Sorry, have to dash to buy a lottery ticket - the only way I'll ever get a (huge!) space like this here in London ;-)

  10. I know I remember when I lived in Seattle the whole NY loft trend was really big. Especially in the Bell Town area. I would LOVE to live in this loft. And that couch is not bad at grand, I expected it to be a lot more.

  11. You had me at that stunning kitchen Jessica! Then I scrolled through the rest of the photos and the entire space is just amazing. I'm loving the open airy feel, abundant light as well as the industrial style decor.

  12. I totally wanted to try this style when we lived in Seattle but the home we rented was a bit too traditional. I would LOVE to rent a home like this for a week to see what it's like to actually live in. The simplicity probably does wonders for clearing the mind and relaxing the soul. I really enjoyed looking at this!
