The sea is not that friendly during these cold months but it sure is refreshing and revitalizing just by looking at the horizon and smelling that salty breeze. I love living close to the shoreline, it was one of the first and most important reasons I came back to Crete. I need to be able to clearly visualize my territorial limits, where the water touches the earth, and let my eyes wander over at the end of the horizon, peacefully and still.
