Calm minimalist home in Quebec

Contemporary minimalistic home design by Atelier Barda in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. Photo by Maxime Desbiens and Juliette Busch

As a contrast to my current loud and often overwhelming daily life (aka working at home mom with 2 toddlers) I am constantly drawn toward spaces that have a calm or, for a lack of a better word, a 'silent' vibe.

That being said, I had no second thoughts about sharing this sophisticated minimalistic beauty designed by Atelier Barda in Canada on the blog today. I love the use of materials, the natural color palette and the vaulted ceiling that adds a dramatic height. The architecture of the house is quite impressive too.

What really got my attention, however, was how the white curtains and arched hallways softened the stark design and added a more friendly note to the interior.

See more on the Atelier Barda website.
