Living room and dining room e-decor project by Eleni Psyllaki My Paradissi

Now that it is finally coming to an end, I’m very excited to share with you my latest e-design project I’d been working on for the past months. You might recognize the space when you see the following photos as I do have shared it before here on the blog.

For a quick reference, this is a house renovation and decoration e-design project I did for a young couple in Switzerland. The house had been torn down to pieces (well not quite literally) and there had been a major floorplan layout change (staircase removed, rooms switched place, new openings etc but that’s not something to talk about here).

So, in collaboration with their local architect, I helped my clients first to design their kitchen, guided them through their bathrooms designs and then to decorate the whole house.

In the first phase of the design, we finalized the kitchen and material selection throughout the house so that they could proceed to the construction with their local contractor and we left the furniture ordering for later on when they'd actually have a finished space to place them in.

As the house was coming together, we started working on the second part of the design, which was the decoration phase.

I created moodboard collages with product selections for all the rooms (living room, dining room, master bedroom and bathroom, guest room, library and WC) along with detailed floorplans of the furniture and accents placements. After client’s approval, I sent over the detailed shopping lists with the links to all the products I suggested for all the rooms so that they could visit the stores and buy at their own pace. Almost all of the products where found at Swiss online stores so there would be as little shipping costs as possible.

The clients also requested the open area (living room, dining room and kitchen) to be presented as 3d visualizations so they could get a better vision of their home before proceeding to furniture and accessories purchases as well as have a visual guide to how to style the space afterward. So, these are the 3ds of their (still under construction) living room :)

We kept a warm neutral palette for this room and, inspired by the pink granite countertop in the kitchen, we introduced muted pinks in the decor. There are also splashes of deep green in the dining room which I feel add a welcoming contrast to the palette and bring some of nature’s freshness indoors.

There are lots of light woods, woven textures, linens and earthwares that emphasize the natural vibes and, along with the extra textiles and candles, create a hygge environment for the clients to relax and enjoy.

I wish I could show you the rest of the rooms as well but I'm afraid I don't have the 3ds for them! I will, however, keep you updated when clients send over photos of their finished home :)
