Chances are that you've already seen this gorgeous home styled by Lovisa Häger of An Interior Affair in collaboration with Loft Stocholm for Bonava all around the web by now. And quite right, this place is the epitome of contemporary chic and tone on tone elegance.
I've been a follower and avid admirer of Lovisa's work on Instagram but it wasn't until I saw the images of this home as shot by Adam Helbaoui from Kronfoto on Residence Magazine that I took a second look at the glass coffee table located in the living room which is the same one she also has in her home.
I loved the minimalistic sculptural style of it and, in my quest to track down its origins, I was stunned to find out that it is actually a DIY by her. A DIY! And, apparently a very easy one. All it took to make was these four vases by Bolia and a clear glass top placed on them. Genious!
I really love when DIY projects 1. are easy to make and 2. don't look like DIYs. This certainly qualifies for both and to replicate at home your options are pretty much endless (or, as many as such sturdy vases exist in the stores).
In a quick research I did this morning here are some other ceramic vase options you can try instead.

This is so cool! And it seems really easy to make too, which is a great plus. I tried to make my own coffee table once, I used an old window and some wooden pieces I kept after the renovation we did to our house. But the whole project was much more complicated, yours seems like a better option now.
ReplyDeleteIt does sound interesting and complicated indeed! I am tempted to try this one myself too, I just have to wait for the kids to grow a bit to be more safe!
