Black and white is a color scheme that gets really famous among the kids' rooms (as well as the rest of the house, of course) with the rise of Scandinavian design that's been going on the past few years. Really, I can't think of a better color combination to showcase and let all those colorful toys pop out! A black chalkboard wall, a huge black letter, and a gorgeous black fireplace are 3 ways to bring the touch of the darkest of hues in a kids room. Btw, isn't this little desk nook by the fireplace a charmer?
P.s. An eclectic kids room with black and white walls I designed last year

I'm a huge fan of black and white rooms, It gives it a very classy look. The chalk board is a great idea. Just hope you're not creating a graffiti artist…haha.
