I instantly fell in love with the freshness and down to earth coziness of this beach house in Montauk, designed by Space Exploration. Unlike many coastal schemes based on cooler hues of blue and turquoises, this one is dressed in beiges and blacks, unrefined woods, white shiplaps and high roofs, geometric patterns and cushy fabrics. The modernist furniture pieces contrast the abundance of ethnic textiles creating a casual easy living atmosphere while the skylights and large openings add up to the open air feeling of the various levels that the house is built on.
