22 of the prettiest outdoor showers

22 of the prettiest outdoor showers | My Paradissi

Oh, that underlying promise of the outdoor shower! It is almost certain that when you enjoy the pleasure of showering under the hot summer sun one of the following circumstances occur:
  1. you live by the sea or lake and wish to remove the sand/salt off of yourself before entering the house,
  2. you have a pool where a shower next by is a unconditional necessity or
  3. you happen to be on vacay in some hideaway let-me-doze-off-a-little paradise hotel.
Whatever the case, I'm definitely sold (although scenario no.1 sounds so so tempting). In this dream situation, here are 22 of the most noteworthy outdoor showers I came across the net recently. They do make you dream, don't they?

THE ROOM: Fancy laundry

Diy patterned linoleum floor laundry room | Image via A Beautiful Mess
Image via A Beautiful Mess
I wanted to share with you this laundry room quite some time now. Isn't it awesome? I fell in love with its eclectic simplicity and its laid back fancy vibe the moment I laid eyes on it. The black and white linoleum tile floor is totally gorgeous. Yes, these are not ceramic tiles but vinyl ones that were cut and placed by the team of A Beautiful Mess (there's a tutorial on how to do it yourself in their blog). The green sink is a hit as well. Actually, it is does steal the show with its lime green hue contrasting the geometric floor pattern. The room would not be the same, however, without the natural touch of the plants. Love the fabric planter and the casual air it breathes to the space (also coming from another ABM diy). This place would make an amazing bathroom as well, don't you agree?

P.s. If you live in Canada, here's a great place to source for a house plant.

Contemporary tropical backyard with Houseology

Contemporary tropical backyard with Houseology | My Paradissi

My Paradissi is, quite literally, my online dream paradise. The sacred space where I project all my desires, likes and heartfelt needs (well, those that have to do with design and a stylish way of living anyway). Now that we are officially in the heart of summer I can’t help by flood this space with pretty outdoors, lustworthy yards and shady terraces, stunning pools and cozy relaxing hammocks. This year, I’m taking things a step further and, instead of just posting spaces I came across on the net, I decided to design one. A place that is completely streamlined to my current likings, the one that I see when I close my eyes and daydream.

Utterly cozy recessed sleeping nooks

Sala Ayutthaya Hotel by Onion architects
Image via DPages
Recessed bed nooks look so darn cozy and a completely inviting scenario for my sleep deprived baby days. Love these two spaces for they are crisp and bright, simple and cushy, balanced and serene. I imagine myself tucked inside the nook of the first photo, with a good book (no screens or any sorts of technology whatsoever) and an utter silence blissfully flooding the space. Oh, I so need this to recharge my batteries right now :)

10 bathrooms with bold patterned walls

10 bathrooms with bold patterned walls

Although I'm lately drawn to more simple and monochromatic schemes, I find patterned bathrooms all too flattering. And, there is this unconventional truth that makes things even more exciting; the smaller the bathroom the prettier it looks with a bold wall. Wallpaper, tiles, hand paintings or even decoupage tricks (check out the following newspaper wall installation- amazing idea for a diy or what?), there are so many ways to incorporate pattern inside a bathroom. After the jump, you will find 10 different bold patterned bathroom ideas that might inspire you to get yours a serious revamp. Enjoy!

DIY: Black tassel projects

DIY: Black tassel projects

Tassels are so much fun. They make everything so much more cushy and cozy just by hanging unpretentiously on their sides. Thing is, tassels don’t have to be multicoloured or have a bold bright hue to be exciting. Black tassels can be rather sophisticated by balancing a playful result with more elegance and style. For that matter, here are 6 diy projects involving black tassels you can try this weekend. Happy crafting!

P.s. 6 no-knit yarn diys.

Agnandi Suites in Mykonos

Agnandi Suites in Mykonos

It’s been a long long day today and I was honestly about to skip today’s post. But then again I also skipped yesterday’s one too (working full time with a 5 month old baby next to me seeking for attention is sometimes too much to handle) and I have a really gorgeous place to share with you so I decided to keep it short and let the images do the talking. Agnanti Suites is a recently renovated complex of homes and studios in Mykonos. And is exactly the place I’d like to switch off for now; calm, fresh, welcoming and extra lovely. I’m picturing myself on that terrace gazing at the deep blue sea horizon, all deadlines and lists long gone. Just me and my pretty boys. And the sea. *sigh
