Showers with a rustic charm | My Paradissi

There is something irresistible with the unrefined shower spaces. Maybe it has to do with a subconscious connection of the water and the natural surroundings, I don't know, but tadelakt, bare concrete, stone slabs and aged woods look so good inside a bathroom. Some might argue that such surfaces are the exact thing that make a bathroom less clean and healthy but it is this exact roughness that makes it so appealing. In any case, large openings that allow fresh air to help the space dry and breathe sure make a difference. Also, such bathrooms are more appropriate in summer homes or ones that are not of a daily use. Below are some of my favorite examples of such showers, to inspire or just to admire :)

  1. I like these showers. I love any room with a natural, outdoorsy feel though. :)
