One of the coolest things in blogging is that, from time to time, you get to work with amazing stores you admire and look up to. As you can tell, I was ecstatic to be contacted by OCCA HOME a few weeks ago, as it is one of the interior online stores I love to reference to when it comes to quality home products for my clients and readers. OCCA HOME specializes in unique and branded homeware, all curated by experienced interior designers. And that is not to wonder as, OCCA HOME actually sprung from the OCCA-Design, as an architectural and interior design practice focusing on the design of homes and hotels in both Europe and UAE.
Seizing the opportunity, I used the OCCA HOME catalogue to design a living room based on the wintery holiday mood of these days. When it comes to 3d design, sky's the limit, so here it is, a contemporary chalet, placed in the middle of a snow white forest, in the calmness of the season, with all the appropriate warmth and coziness needed.

I wanted to keep the color palette neutral; beiges, browns and grays complement the white scenery and let the bright winter light to wash the interior beautifully. The toss pillows and throws add a an extra cozy note and so are the numerous candles scattered around the room, without interrupting the crisp elegant vibe. The Christmas decorations, on the other hand, are kept to a minimal, with the tree, the garland on the mantle and the wreath to be left without ornaments, rather than bringing out a more casual and natural feeling. There are the fairy lights on the tree, of course. We can never skip those, right ;)

I can so easily picture myself on that sofa, cuddling up one of the blankets, with the open fireplace and slow festive music on the background, watching the snow falling through the large windows. See the cup of tea and cookies on the table? I left them there on purpose ;) Spending the holidays in such a place with good company is only a dream I wish it could come true!

  5. Thank you for reply. Yes, I already noticed the link, but I asked because of fact that pillows on picture look different (more like square) then pillows from picture no. 12. The same situation is with chair no. 16. Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)
