The eyes are like stomach; they need some detoxing every now and then, especially after a frantic holiday season. So, after this calm apartment of last week, I thought it would be nice to put together a soothing style board of crisp and uncomplicated interiors. The color palette is kept minimal with subtle neutral hues of blond woods and brown leathers to mix with the concrete grays and the necessary contrasting black and whites. The spaces have a subtle rustic vibe and look welcoming instead of stiff and cold. The secret to these simple yet soothing scenes is the right use of textures. Natural materials like leather, unrefined wood, furry and wool textiles smoothen the starkness of the color palette and the sparsity of the interiors. I like to call these materials alive as they are indeed coming from organic sources and they just keep this quality with them when placed in a room. Hope this collection helps you relax a bit ^^
