Greek Christmas honey dipped cookies, melomakarona, recipe by My Paradissi © Eleni Psyllaki

There is no Christmas spirit at home if there is no smell of cinnamon, honey and orange coming from the kitchen. We have these traditional cookies in Greece we make every Christmas, called melomakarona. They actually are simple olive oil and orange juice cookies that are dipped into honey syrup and sprinkled with crusted nuts. The above lot we baked with my mom a few days ago to share with the audience of Lori's beautiful blog, Automatism, for her Good Cheer holiday post series. There you will find the recipe my family used for years too. I highly recommend you gave them a try! xoxo
