No wonder why I picked this amazing place for today's house tour. The apartment of Nicolai and Juliet in Cannes has it all. The basic two tone color palette consisting mostly of black, white and neutrals, the scandinavian design approach of less is more, the mix of sleek designer pieces with the rough finishes of the otherwise elegant architectural form are all a part of this understated glamorous interior.
Above: The open kitchen plan is visually separated with the dining table with an alteration on the floor. The kitchen floor has gray ceramic tiles whereas the rest of the room has an amazing wooden herringbone flooring.
Above: Even the tiniest of balconies can bring out a country vibe if you decorate accordingly. A rattan basket used as planter and a bistro table and chairs, combined with the grayish shutters, echo the laid-back style of the french countryside.
Above: The olive tree in the tin planter is yet another reference to the french countryside. The grainy black and white checkers floor, on the other hand, adds up to the overall elegant aesthetics of the interiors.
Above: A bamboo ladder adds warmth and, in addition to the buddha figurine, a distinct approach to a modern interpreted ethnic style.
