How is your relationship with bathroom tiles? I have to admit we don't get along that well. I mean, there are certainly way more prettier wall and floor coverings for a bathroom than tiles. Those of you who rent, know firsthand how hard it is to find an apartment with a tile-free bathroom, or at least, one with decent tiles you can work your decorating skills with.
Take this bathroom, for example. A common medium size tile on walls and floor in basic black and white hues. Admittedly, this is not the worse case scenario but a it is pretty blah to start with. Pros are the total white of walls that create a neutral canvas and the black and white checkered floor that adds some visual interest to the space.
What actually makes a difference are all those bright and colorful accessories that decorate the bathroom. Colorful bath towels, pastel pink chair, trays and bowls for jewels, soaps and such, a statement multicolored cabinet, the zebra stool and flowers (the pug doesn't count- it's neutral shaded ;).
