I was really excited to stumble upon Su Gologone Hotel the other day. And the reason for that is that I always enjoy a design that incorporates so many folkloric and traditional elements in a fresh and stylish way. The warm mediterranean hospitality is present on every inch of this place, from the warm and cushy bedrooms to the green and shady patios. I've always known that all mediterranean countries share common history and aesthetics but I was overwhelmed by how much the style of this hotel resembles the Cretan one. I know that, given the chance to stay there, I'd feel totally at home.
Handmade woolen textiles with folkloric shepherd patterns, unrefined juniper wood beams that frame the built-in beds and local artwork displays are some of the design characteristics of this Italian hotel.
Staircases under the arched alleys, vines hanging from the side walls, indigo, whites and the grayish hues of the native stone are combined with more contemporary elements like the bold red horse artwork on the wall.
You need thick shade to protect yourself for the harsh mediterranean sun and the big trees are just great to create a fresh and cool environment. If you'd like to feel this experience and spend a few blissful days at Su Gologone, you can inquire your stay here.
P.s. Another stunning hotel in Italy.
