Turquoise and lace bed styling

Online classes about interior styling

My bedroom is the most neglected room of my house. Maybe it is because I don't spend much time in it, or use it for nothing more than sleep, but it was high time I changed that. Justina's classes were a great excuse to experiment a little with my grandmother's crocheted lace bedding she's given me* and the great contrast they make with my turquoise walls. I added a sheer drape on the canopy bed for a more dramatic romance effect.
I also drink loads of water thus the carafe and tumbler on the nightstand, apart from the fresh cut basil and the small stack of books. A snake plant right next adds shape and a fresh touch.
That's that dears. In the next post I'll be showing you a few shots of the drawer chest in the bedroom I styled a few days ago. What do you make of this bed setting? Hope you like it ^_^

*Here in Greece we have a wedding tradition of the couple to be presented by the bride's family with beautiful handcrafted linens before the wedding. It was such a great deal once, that no woman could get married if she didn't have a chest full of these. I'm proud to say that both my grandmothers and my mom are amazing crafters and I'm lucky to have loads of them (that, as you can see, I take fully advantage of even I'm not married yet ;)

  5. When I got married I was overjoyed to got my προίκα! When I was a kid I thought my grandmother's, aunt's and mom's things were too stuffy. I am so glad I got over that. Its all in the styling at the end of the day.
The blue walls make everything look fresh.

    1. Hi,
it looks a lot like the 'heavenly peace' shade by Benjamin Moore (maybe a bit more desaturated) but I can't tell you exactly as we made the color mix ourselves ;)
