I've been talking a lot about dream homes and interiors on this blog (that's one of the main reasons of its existence in the first place, right?) but the one I'm showing you today is so close to my ideal home that it hurts. Seems like a lucky guy, a country or so away (Spain, to be precise), had the means to turn my dream into his reality (or, an old barn into an amazing home) and actually live in it. Oh, so jealous now..
This house has the perfect size for a small family, neither too big to maintain not too small to suffocate in it. Made of stone, a simple two-story, no balcony but a big pergola, volume located in idyllic green surroundings. The interiors are bright enough despite the lack of large openings, quite a mediterranean tradition that is, with the subtle tones of the natural materials used to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Even that arch in the bedroom is a detail I'd love to use in my place too. The perfect fusion of rustic elements and contemporary comfort, in what seems to be the prettiest home I've seen in months. Sigh.

beautiful......love the ceilings
Hi there! It's a great house, I'd say it could be a farm house from Catalonia, or, at least, it's the same type of house, it's called "masia", I guess there are similar houses in France, Italy or Greece, after all, we all come from the Mediterranean Sea :-P

I love houses of this size. Too big makes it scary, but this is perfect, intimate enough and means no much cleaning :) It is beautiful indeed. Thanks for sharing. Have a great sunny week :)
