My Paradissi in 2012

Monday, December 31, 2012

2012 has been a sweet year for My Paradissi. There's been a blog conference on May that I attended, spoke and met lots of amazing people, a big interview by brazilian Casa e Jardim on July (you can read it here- google translated in english here), the purchase of my new dslr (and my first attempts) on May, my second blog birthday on June and, of course, My Paradissi expanding its presence on facebook and pinterest at last. There were also the first attempts to show off my home (such a shy gal me), my roundabouts and my cooking skills. Finally, I was more than pleased to welcome a bunch of beloved bloggers for my Finding Paradise Guest Post Series.

Here are some of the most loved post of My Paradissi for 2012.

Hope you enjoyed the company of this blog as much as I have enjoyed yours and I really wish we will enter a new beautiful new year that's even better and brighter than this passing one. Thank you my friends for around this year! xoxo

Mediterranean inspired tablescape

Saturday, December 29, 2012

Kara Rosenlund has created a beautiful festive table setting for Christmas that has instantly captured my heart. I would have never imagined how rosemary, olive tree, burlap and rattan can look so christmassy despite my Mediterranean origins. I bet this setting smell as gorgeously as it looks! See more of Kara's Christmas day here.

How cute are these party animals (in a literal way of speaking) created by Amelia of Inameliart? See more of these festive creatures here.

A French country wedding

Thursday, December 27, 2012

I was stunned by this french country style setting, created for a wedding at New Zealand. Love the table decorations, the chic lace mixed with the rustic accents, the green garland centerpiece, the emerald hued glasses and the smart scrabble name tags on each seating. You can catch up with the rest of the photos at ruffled.

Seasonal greetings

Dear friends, how are you?
Are you still drifted away by the holiday spirit, sweetly lost inside the arms of your beloved ones, deeply enjoying the magical moments of the season? I sure am..
..thus you can excuse me for my blog absence, for I needed a few days to unplug and indulge into real life pleasures, those that actually smell, sound and taste marvelously.
This week My Paradissi will continue its sporadically posting, whilst recharging batteries and decluttering those brain cells. I want, in the meantime, to thank you all for being around and wish you once again to have a heart filled with contentment and love.
See you around, my friends ^_^

Inspire the weekend

Saturday, December 22, 2012

This Christmas weekend is all about fun and relaxation. No alarm clock in the morning, double the breakfast time, cinnamon cookies baking (yes, the ones in the photos above), long walks in the festive city, ice-skating and friends gatherings. Even My Paradissi has entered this holiday mode and, apart from the happy holiday shots, there has been a slower pace concerning the posting.
How about your weekend plans? I'd love to see what you're up to! xoxo

DIY: Embellished ornaments

Friday, December 21, 2012
I really like the result of this diy; ornaments with an embroidery feeling, little classic little folkloric and as Andrea states it's an easy peasy project anyone can accomplish. I guess a small amount of talent is required to create something impressive but it doesn't hurt to try and see, right?
See the how to over at Breanna Rose.

Christmas country

Christmas smell of burning logs, pine trees and that chilly wind blows that make your nose pink; I add  cinnamon sticks, candlelights, textures and glitters and a welcoming cottage atmosphere of joy and laughter to enhance the unrefined elegance of the most luxurious holiday of the year.

P.s. And thats what I call a cozy holiday atmosphere!

Folder: Living room

Tuesday, December 18, 2012
I can't resist a cozy living room scene and this one has it all; the natural tones, the fluffy textures, the scandi coolness, the handmade decorations and the inviting layout. I would easily adopt this style to my own living room with a great pleasure!

Bellalulu vintage

Not to exaggerate, but Jills shop on etsy, Bellalulu, is crammed with vintage goodies calling my name (hey you, little elf, you're so sweet!). Actually, I find it hard to narrow down my choices on five this time but I trust you visit the shop for all the extras.

Modern elegance

Monday, December 17, 2012

I have this feeling that, when it comes to high end housing architecture, we usually come across sleek and stark interiors, empty of life and vibrance. This house, located in Danderyd, Sweden, designed by Franson Wreland Architects proves me totally wrong. And I'm so happy about that!

Sunday bliss

A glimpse of what is happening over at My Paradissi's abode. Although, to be honest, while you're reading this post I'd most probably be under an olive tree harvesting olives.
However, I still have this super soft red blanket to wait for me at home and warm up my frozen feet =)
How's your Sunday? xoxo
