Brick walls remind me of old factories and high end lofts. So, I figure, they can work on a wide range of decoration styles, binding them all together in an industrial chic sort of way. It definitely depends on your ideas and, of course, the kind of space you're dealing with. High ceilings, large windows and wooden beams holding a roof are the accents that fit like glove with a brick wall but you can still incorporate a shabby look in your apartment by adding a fake brick wall or two. And, don't forget to play with the decoration elements; industrial lighting fixtures of black metal, concrete surfaces, leather and wooden furniture and statement art pieces to name a few.
So, what do you think of brick walls? Try it or leave it?
