What do you think of some rustic harshness in your bathroom?
Bare stone walls work just fine with sleek concrete surfaces, creating a space that radiates an organic uniqueness I simply can't say no. Actually, it is the use of both antiquated and modern techniques that makes this style so appealing, and, taking it from photo no 3, adding a vintage piece like the large gilded mirror, a log and a few wicker baskets, or, like photo no 4, a stark, frameless mirror and inox fixtures, you can fine tune the atmosphere from total country chic to contemporary elegance.
So, is bare stone something you'd opt for?
P.s. A more subtle use of stone in the bathroom and some more bare stone walls inspiration.

This place looks like a mini castle. love it
ReplyDeleteWe have a family of five. Water, mildew and even spiders tend to congregate in the bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how you would clean these walls. What a mess.
Sorry, it's pretty, but VERY unrealistic. I'm guessing it would start to smell like a cave in a matter of weeks and you'd have to pay someone to remove the stone so you could clean the place.
There is a good REASON bathrooms are made of non porous materials like porcelain. It's washable.
It's amazing! I love this concept!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! You know how you will see a picture of a home/room and you all of a sudden feel calm and peaceful because of the way it is built/decorated? That is what this pic did for me! Thanks, you made my day!!!

ReplyDeleteWow what a dream. I flip out. Something amazing, I have not seen bevore.
ReplyDeleteI think the look is lovely, particularly in photos 3 and 6. I like my "rustic" to be a little more finished and sophisticated --- all those deep crevices would beg for creepy, crawly inhabitants.
ReplyDeleteIn my village (many) people live in mud houses and wall are of stones (as in first picture).
