Organic, handmade and a giveaway!

This weekend was the annual organic farmers and crafters festival here in Heraklion. It is one of the events we eagerly anticipate here each summer to happen. And you only can imagine; loads and loads of fresh, healthy goodies to eat and drink, to put on your skin, to wear, to smell, to decorate or even play with! And, as any good outdoor festival requires, we ended each day with dancing all night long under the shining stars. I got myself some bars of handmade soap with honey, lemon essence, argyle and poppies seeds, a large pot of delicious thyme honey and a bottle of thyme essential oil (I use that a lot for house cleaning- boy, it smells good afterwards!).

And I have a special something for you!

I was excited to meet up with the guys from Deligrecious at the festical. They are a passionate team of Cretans who carefully pick up and gather organic and quality products from the island, based on the mediterranean diet and lifestyle, to a sweet little delicatessen corner in the www. 

They're kindly offering to one My Paradissi reader a goodie bag full of Cretan delicacies! That means that one of you is going to get a pot of natural Cretan honey, a tin of extra-virgin olive oil, a bottle of raki (traditional, grape-based pomace brandy- strong and delicious!) and a bunch of herbs to enjoy!     Eleni! Just saw your interview for the brazilian magazine Casa e Jardim and rushed into your blog! My name is Adelia Barbi, I'm from Brazil and I absolutely love Greece! I've been there 3 years ago and had the most amazing time! Before I go I just knew that I was going to get pregnant there and told everyone that I was going to travel to bring my Greek baby home... No one believed me of course... And when I came home, after the most amazing month of my entire life, I carried my son in my belly... No wonder his name is Egeo in honor of the wonderful Aegean Sea.
