White elegance in the Cyclades

This is the abode of a Dutch family in the heart of the Dodecanese, in Patmos island. I was smitten by the easy-going simplicity of the interiors that, although deeply inspired by the usual white decoration of the Aegean islands, it kept a more friendly and fit to live in tone. I love the contradiction of the rough stone on the floor with the sleek, white cabinetry in the kitchen, the grayish hue of the roof beams and the splashes of color here and there, given by everyday items (isn't that patchwork quilt amazing?)
Perfect place to get lost during the hot summer days, don't you think?

  1. How elegant the natural wood table looks in the entirely white room in the 1st photo. And the pops of aqua in the bedroom, such a great finishing touch.

  8. Πολύ ωραίο το μπλογκ σας, συγχαρητήρια. Μου επιτρέπετε να πω ότι η Πάτμος ανήκει στα Δωδεκάνησα και όχι στις Κυκλάδες;
