Colorful stripes

Can't get enough of bright colors today. I feel like a little girl surrounded by dozens of colorful markers, painting whimsical rainbows again and again. Or, like a happy ol' lady, cooking in this kitchen.

Green lust

I have woken up to a surprising crave for bright and tropical greens this morning. I can't even remember what I've been dreaming, anyway, but here is a post to feed my need (and hopefully yours!).

Vulnerable whites

Good day my dears! I'd love to share with you some delicate, shabby chic like, sheer dressed, white bedrooms. Those, that little girls dream of, while pretending to be the vulnerable princesses awaited to be saved in their castle. Pure days.. hope you still feel the same! xo

Working with the sun

Monday morning, lots to do and the sun is more tempting than I can handle.. Need some inspiration, like these working nooks, spacious and un-cluttered, with all the desirable sun rays to keep me company while keeping up with these drawings.

Not so boring white tiles

Square, white tiles sound like the last possible solution to use in a bathroom as it brings to mind cheap, hospital-like facilities. Wrong. With the right sanitary wares and clever decoration touches they can prove to be an affordable, stylish choice for any bathroom regardless the size. Extra hint: Don't forget to use greenery. Plants with large, green leaves add up to the hole design.

Smells like spring

Good day, great day! The sun is shining and a warm breeze is finally welcoming us to spring. Today the days will grow a bit due to Greece daylight saving and that makes my heart beat happier. Bigger days means brighter days. Flower blossoms, fresh fruit and herbs, an uplifting mood and the deepest desire to touch the skies..

Games of shadows

One of the things I like most about sunny weather is those harsh shadows created by the bright sun rays coming through the window blinds and the pergola beams. I can spend hours just gazing at the different geometrical or abstract shapes they form, feeling dazzled by the mystifying atmosphere emerging from the eternal fight of shadow and light.

Passing by

Corridors can easily be mislead to be a wasted and unused space of a house. Although it's not a place to spend time rather than just serve as a passing by area, they too deserve to be styled and decorated according to the rest of the house. Extra luxury and elegance or simple and easy going, corridors act like the connection elements of a place and thus the interior design cannot feel utter and completed without them.

Lying with perspective

I love the perspective of these bedroom shoots. They seem quite surrealistic, don't you think? I'm tempted to lie down on the bed of the first photo and look over the open roof beams, the view seems to be very interesting (the indirect light sure is!).

Outdoor bliss

Well, deep down I have this feeling that if I keep posting images of outdoor sunshine and calmness the rain will somehow stop. We are so close to warmer days and I know these are the last ones of winter mood (at least here in Crete) but I'm running out of patience. Hopefully these photos will do the trick and I'll wake up to a clear sky tomorrow! xo

Caramel calm

Vanilla and caramel hues framed by black lac creating a peaceful balance. I feel that in this residence in Milan, designed by Peter Marino the sense of time does not exist. Brilliant.
