This is so 2010..

Friday, December 31, 2010

This is the final post for the year 2010. It sounds really cliche to say 'ah, how quickly time flies' or 'Last Year's Eve seems like yesterday' but, to tell you the truth, I'm utterly tempted! So, how are you going to celebrate this year's ending and how is the New Year going to find you? I'm going to be downtown amongst loved ones (not all of them, I'm afraid) and party along with the city pulse.
Wish you a Happy New Year and may you all dream and love!

Feeling good

Thursday, December 30, 2010

Feeling the presence of beloved ones can be the perfect treatment for winter days, particularly now that we are in the middle of the Christmas holidays. Like those cold nights when, as a child, your parents took you to bed, kissed you goodnight and let you sleep peacefully under the fluffy, warm beddings filled with contentment and assurance. Like Nina Simone sings 'sleep in peace when day is done', wish your path leads you to the sweetest dreams.

Living experience

Wednesday, December 29, 2010

Changing media is both a thrilling and a confusing experience. I'm still trying to figure out how my new imac works and believe me, I feel like a little child playing with my new toys. It is a great opportunity, among others, to do some file cleanup and organizing. And since this is definitely going to take up some time lets enjoy some cozy and inviting living rooms and dream of long afternoons of relaxation and good company.

Pink and loud

Bold and loud, foucsia and floral, vintage and folclor, grand days of no particular importance, making a statement without effort.
This is my first post through my new imac and I'm thrilled =). Hope you have a great day! xo

Christmas chill

Sunday, December 26, 2010

Christmas days are an excellent excuse to meet with friends, stay up until late, eat, drink and fool around as much as you can take. Can't describe my last days in a few lines but consider the above, add some work that had to be finished until the end of the year and you'll get the point. Therefore, this post has to do about lustful, comfy beds and how much I miss just staying in and relax. Nah, let's get some more fun and leave resting for later, shall we?

Shiny bathtubs

One the one hand it's Christmas time, one the other we could all use some sparkle and shine from time to time. Metallic colored bathtubs are the 'new' footed bathtubs that stand proudly in a distinctive place in a bathroom to create and atmosphere of fascination and glamour. Truth is, they seem to need a lot of cleaning to be kept in such good condition all the time, but let's not bother ourselves with minor, earthly details, right?
Get some extra inspiration on sparkling, golden bathrooms here and check this brass, however not shiny bathtub here.

Can anyone please explain to me how come the last days before Christmas (and by extension the first days of holidays) to be over the top busy and filled with chores and responsibilities? It is the same thing every year, I should have known by now and not complain, as all work gets into a pause all of a sudden at the most appropriate moment and jingle bells start to sound harmoniously into my brain along with Christmas cookies and presents. So patience, my friend, the key to a peaceful mind..

White vs black

Some say that not everything in life is black and white and how we should find the different shades of gray among them. Well, that's not the deal about today's post. Enjoy these two exact opposite bathrooms, the pure, sleek white and the dark, obscure black one. So different that they actually share too many things in common.

Office is where the computer is

I'm thrilled to say that I'm in the look out to buy a new computer and as an authentic gadget lover I'm over the top excited! Now, I've finally made my mind to try out an imac for the first time (yeah, ok, gadget girl without a mac does not seem right, I know, but some architectural programs I use, like Autodesk Autocad, wasn't available for mac until recently again). Do you use an apple computer? Is it totally different than a pc? Ah, I'm so eager to find out the sooner the possible!

Black and white glam

Today the mood is very festive, it is the last Sunday before Christmas and everybody is downtown doing some last shopping and enjoying the music and the events going on around the city. I felt like sharing with you some black&white scenes with cool atmosphere sprinkled with glamour before I go to join the Christmas spirit! xo

Don't you love the feeling of a crisp, sunny morning when everything is clean and shiny due to the continuous rainfall of the last days? Such days make me more optimistic and content; nature has an unerring way of reminding us how life works (and why we should always try to keep our chin up!).

My Paradissi is undergoing some changes these days, actually I'm gathering up all my technological knowledge to make it more welcoming and user-friendly. Your opinion is mostly appreciated, I'd be grateful if you would  leave me a comment about what you think about this blog. Thank you!
