Photographer David Prince seems to have a thing for inviting, lustful beds and at this moments I can totally share his love. Take a look and be inspired. After all it's Friday and the idea of crawling under soft and warm bed linens is not just fiction!
When the same concept is used in two different rooms the outcome can be really surprising. A bedroom and a bathroom share the same atmosphere of rough elegance and romantic impulse met in similar or corresponding items and colors.
Brick red color can bring elegance and warmth in any room that is being painted with it. It is a rather powerful shade but when being used smartly it can do miracles. Can be combined with whites and earthly tones and, for a more aristocratic look, don't forget to add a few vintage pictures and rich textured fabrics in the place.
I felt an instant attraction to these industrial, re-assembled lamps made by Olivier Abry of Wo and Wé in Lyon, France. Not only I'm a sucker for proper indoors lighting but I also love handmade, repurposed items and Olivier has definitely done a great job on that matter. If you are into industrial and handmade then you should definitely check the Wo and Wé collection here.
You are never too old to have a super cute stuffed toy animal to keep you company, right? Or, at least, to use it as a decoration item in the bedroom. But be extra careful, style and attitude is a must when choosing one to have around.
I love this livingroom composition captured by photographer Hotze Eisma. The large black&white print does great favour to the leather sofa below and the muted lilacs brighten up on the dark wooden floor.
Mix and match, folklore fabrics, cushions and throws, cool weather and rain. Muted colors and the dull daylight hiding behind the clouds, oh how I wish I could curl up in bed this chilly Friday morning..
When I bumped into these images I could by no means tell they come from the house of a worldwide famous actress. This place belongs to Ellen Pompeo (Grey of Grey's Anatomy for those not acquainted) and her family. Situated in the Hollywood Hills, this eclectic villa is perfectly down to earth and well-attained, full of ethnic influnces and far from so called starshine glam. Well, done girl! I would definitely come over for a cup of coffee ;)
Do you have a favourite corner inside your home where you use to sit along with a friend and do some chit chatting? A large, comfy sofa is not the only solution for a tête-à-tête session. Try to pair a couple of chairs of your liking and add a matching coffee to complete the look (you have to place your tea cup somewhere, right?).
