Truth is, I feel totally attracted by places that look solid and steady. These rooms with the built-in benches, the earthly tones and the rough concrete finishes on the walls and the floor create the ideal atmosphere to inhabit. Extra advantage and a necessity for a warm feeling is the abundance of pillows thrown on the built-in benches. Check these bathrooms here and here and these exteriors designed by Studio Ko for even more solid looks.

  2. I too love the juxtaposition of hard and soft. These spaces are hard, cool and lean, but those soft furnishings make them inviting and comfortable at the same time.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Funny, I was planning on using the H. Eisma photo on my blog because I felt so inspired about the raw textures and soft colors, and there I see it on your blog... I think we could be roommates Eleni! ;-) Happy day! Xo, Si-

  4. @2designplus: hehe, I know! I've already used kourasanit for my bathroom! =)
